File manager

A two-panel file manager that runs entirely in your browser. Open a folder from your own disk on each side, then copy, move, rename, or delete files between them. Everything happens on your device through your browser's own file access, so nothing is uploaded anywhere. Local disk access needs a Chromium browser like Chrome, Edge, Brave, or Opera. In other browsers the page still loads, but the disk features stay switched off.

This browser does not support local disk access. Open the page in Chrome, Edge, Brave, or Opera to browse and manage files on your device. The disk features are switched off here.

Actions apply to the highlighted (active) panel and send to the other one. Click a panel or press Tab to switch, use the arrow keys to move, Enter to open a folder, Backspace to go up, and the function keys below for file actions. Right-click any item for a menu of those actions.

Questions

Which browsers can open local folders?
Chromium based desktop browsers such as Chrome, Edge, Brave, and Opera. They support the File System Access API that this tool relies on to read and write files on your device.
Why are the buttons disabled in Firefox or Safari?
Those browsers do not yet implement the directory picker and writable file access, so the disk features are switched off. The rest of the page still loads normally.
Can I move and copy files between the two panels?
Yes. Open a folder in each panel, select an item in the active panel, then use Copy or Move to send it to the other panel. Folders are copied together with everything inside them.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The tool reads and writes files directly on your device through your browser, and nothing is ever sent to a server.
